I have been doing business with Green Knight since 2021, when we decided to switch from asphalt shingles to a metal roof. Best decision ever. This year we decided to screen in our existing patio and I wanted my contractor to tie into … More the existing roof. So Steven Smith who is with Green Knight came to my home and removed the panels so that my contractor could do just that. With his expertise he coordinated the removal and reinstallation of the new roof . After that was done I had some extra panels left over. I was able to have my shed covered as well. The Double Locked Hemmed Seam roof, because of its double mechanical seaming, allows Standing Seam to be installed down to a 1/12 pitch. With the addition of sealant and floating stainless steel clips the Double Locked Hemmed Standing Seam can be installed down to a pitch of ¼:12.
A Double hemmed seam roof will be as close to watertight as any standing seam roof and will exhibit strong oil canning tendencies. These roofs are generally used in areas where they cannot be viewed.
